It was a sunny Saturday in Brendale QLD when Drifta teamed up with Ronny Dahl, popular 4WD youtube’r for a ‘meet and greet’ day at the Drifta QLD store. Tofty, manager of Drifta QLD, opened up the store to eager fans and enthusiasts who came to shop for quality gear and chat to Ronny and the crew before they head off on an epic Simpson Desert and ‘red centre’ trip back to Western Australia.

I was fortunate enough to be involved thanks to Ronny for flying me over from Perth to help with the video production for the weeks ahead and spend some time at Drifta QLD.

Drifta recently expanded to QLD with their new retail showroom in Brendale, offering quality products that enthusiasts have counted on for years. The new showroom hosts world class 4WD, camping and adventure products from the likes of Snowpeak, Uniflame, Drifta Off Road Tourer, Drifta Canvas, Factor 55, Deadman, Quickpitch, Oztent, Maxtrax and more

all the awesome things

Ronny Dahl fans queued up to chat to the man himself, as well as the top blokes that make up the 4 Wheeling Australia crew, Torben and Wayne. These guys stood by their rigs and chat to people all day long, stopping only to stuff in some hotdogs that were cooked up by the Venturer’s team hosted by Mr Brett Hooker

Fans and enthusiasts also had a chance to meet Luke the Drifta, owner and founder of Drifta who drove up from Gloucester to meet fans and enjoy the day. Luke also took some time to shoot some videos of the new “Walk Up Hard Top” (WUHT) DOT with Jake, an experience that some could witness in person

Ronny spent all day chatting to people and was pretty exhausted by the end of it all, but he still had time to have a photo and chat with some of his youngest fans!

Maxtrax joined the event with some of their interesting vehicles, including their custom-built 6wd cruiser!

At the end of the day it was time to close up shop and prepare the 4 Wheeling Australia cruisers for the epic trip ahead. We started by re-branding the rigs with the new stickers, packing our gear, and resting up with some well earned take-out Chinese food. That evening I was fortunate enough to spend the night in the new Drifta WUHT camper, I must say, what absolute luxury, I slept like a log! That new hard-top sleeper is amazing!

Until next time! James
